Teaching Term Faculty Position in Computer Engineering

Applications are invited for a teaching term faculty position at the lecturer or teaching assistant professor level in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. The position will commence Nov. 1, 2020 or earliest thereafter. Demonstrated competence in the area of artificial intelligence, machine learning or software engineering is desired. The appointment will be for a three-year term. This position is subject to budgetary approval.
Candidates must have a bachelor's degree and a master’s degree in computer engineering or a related discipline. A completed earned doctorate in a related area is required for the appointee to receive the rank of teaching assistant professor. The successful candidate will participate in the academic programs of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, including teaching graduate and undergraduate courses, developing undergraduate laboratories, supervising graduate projects and other educational activities. An ability to teach a broad range of computer engineering courses is a requirement. The successful candidate is expected to register as a professional engineer in Newfoundland and Labrador.
